Our first issue of the Gazzette is still in production as of 11 AM today, a Thursday. What was a vague and fevered notion in April is quickly becoming a 10-part deluxe objet d’art. Let us tell you about the first issue, and then about this website.

Issue One of The Midwest Gazzette is firstly free, and secondly will be released in a limited edition of 50 copies, many of which will be available at shoppes in the Champaign-Urbana area. All additional copies will be available for free through this website, and if you’re a book or record store, you too can request a small number to “sell” in your window.

10 separate parts. Any given part could (and indeed will) contain poetry, tabloid journalism, criticism, music, comics, original paintings, or something else entirely. Each piece will be connected to its neighbors by a common thread of psychic wonder coupled with cranial pressure.

This website will have outtakes and extended riffs from the issue, internet-only features (like the recently erected poster monologues), and probably other special things that don’t suit the real world.
